MVS provides an accelerated invoice payment service (payment within 72 hours from approval) in exchange for a small convenience fee which is typically much lower than other alternative means of financing. There are no user fees, transactional fees, workflow configuration fees, or series of payments. It’s a single payment transaction.
No, there is no fee for registering for any of the MVS services.
To meet your unique company needs, we provide a range of payment methods to suit your specific business.
ACH: An Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment is a secured electronic bank-to-bank payment processing technique used in the United States. Money is moved into the receiving bank account and removed from the original. An ACH vendor payment is an electronic funds transfer (EFT) that transfers money between bank accounts by utilizing the ACH network of financial institution members, including banks and credit unions. In the US, ACH payments—which can be used for debits or credits—are the main method of paying suppliers. Payments are generally available within 2-3 days.
Printable Checks: Printable checks provide a great way to transition from mailed checks to digital payments. Checks are sent directly to the recipient’s email and can leverage the same deposit processes they use for mailed checks, yet they don’t have to wait 5-7 days for the mail to arrive. Our checks can be printed on standard printer paper and deposited just like a regular check – with a banking mobile app or in person at a local branch or ATM.
Paper Checks: Paper checks are still a reliable way for businesses to collect payments from one another. Both the vendor and the buyer are well-versed in their respective fields. There is nothing to change or learn. Getting paper checks has a number of drawbacks, including the fact that they are a prime candidate for fraud and if you need your money quickly, it can take up to 7 days to process as delivery is dependent on the USPS.
You can find your accurate routing and account number at the bottom of a check from your paper checkbook.
(Note: some checks may have the check number as the first or second set of numbers; however, the routing is always before the account number).
The Routing Number is always 9 digits and can be confirmed online with a simple search. This number is specific to your bank and is publicly available. You may find it on your bank’s website.
You can also locate your Account Number via your bank statement, or a direct deposit slip. This number is unique to you. If you are in doubt, contact your bank. Entering inaccurate bank information can lead to delays.
MVS does not store your bank account details and credentials.
Bank account information is only collected by our payment processor on a one-time basis to turn over to the user’s bank as a verification of their identity.
This one-time collection is encrypted, and we do not have access to the information after the account has been verified.
Our payment provider posts your bank login credentials directly to your bank using certified and audited APIs from institutions vetted by all banks.
At no time are your login credentials stored anywhere in our payment providers or MVS servers. Your Routing Number and Account Number are the only financial information that are stored on the payment providers’ servers, which are encrypted.
When a digital payment has failed, the recipient needs to reference the credit return transaction notification email they were sent. In this email they will be able to attempt to deposit the payment again with the correct account information.
MVS works with several jurisdictions across the country. Visit our “Partners” page to see those with whom we currently work. If you do not see a particular jurisdiction, please let us know and we will contact them.
Because MVS invoice processing can effectively handle processing large quantities of invoices while minimizing manual data entry and potential errors, it is best suited for standard, recurring, and high-volume invoices that require automated data capture, accurate matching with purchase orders, and streamlined approval workflows.
The types of invoices that are suitable for MVS include but are not limited to the following: core consumable goods, regular vendor deliveries, subscription services, office supplies, and professional services invoices.
MVS does not do payroll, healthcare invoicing, or traditional construction projects with exemptions for primes and subs.
MVS accepts a variety of documents including but not limited to Invoices, Purchase Orders, Contracts and other documents required by a jurisdiction to process a payment through the MVS supplier portal, which can be processed automatically using OCR technology; essentially, any invoice with accurate billing information can be processed through MVS’s system.
